Pre-K Teachers

Tricia Floyd

Mrs. Tricia Floyd

Hello! I would like to welcome you and your child to Pre-K! This will be an exciting year for all of us. I am looking forward to the wonderful things that we will be doing in the coming months. I believe that children greatly benefit from parental support and involvement in their education, and I invite you to become a part of our class as much as possible. There will be many opportunities to help throughout the year, and I hope you will be able to take advantage of them!

I was born and raised in Georgia. I graduated from Georgia College with a major in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K through 5), and I received my Master’s Degree at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. I continued my education and received my Specialist Degree from Brenau University. I have been teaching for 29 years. This will be my seventeenth year at Maxwell High School of Technology.

I am married to Gary Floyd, and we have two beautiful children, Sean and Samantha. Sean goes to Georgia Tech. Samantha goes to College of Coastal Georgia. The other members of our family are two dogs and a dozen cats! As you can tell, I love animals! When I am not teaching or taking care of my mini petting zoo, I am watching Sean fence or visiting Samantha at the beach.

I am very excited about being your child’s Pre-K teacher! This is just the beginning of many years of school. I want it to be a positive year. We learn and we have fun doing it. Get ready for a super Pre-K year!
