Maxwell Preschool

Maxwell High School’s Preschool program is considered a working lab for our high school students. Under the supervision of a certified teacher and a paraprofessional, the high school students plan all the activities the preschool children participate in. 

All children must be 3 years old by September 1st and potty-trained by the start of school to be able to attend our program.

We have two sessions which correspond with the times the high school students are at school. The AM session is from 8:00 AM to 10:20 AM.  The PM session is from 11:30 AM to 1:40 PM.  We are only open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

During your child’s day at preschool, he/she will experience the following activities:

• Learning Centers (Language Arts, Math, and Fine Motor Skills)
• Outside Time
• Circle Time
• Play Centers (Blocks, Puzzles, Art, Dramatic Play, Computers)
• A meal served family style (Breakfast for AM & Lunch for PM)

There is a $60.00 nonrefundable registration fee due at the time of enrollment.

Tuition for the school year is $480 and can be paid in one of the following ways:

1. Eight monthly payments of $60 with the first payment due at parent orientation. The monthly fee is required even if your child does not attend a given month.
2. A single payment for the full school year is paid on the day of parent orientation. This option receives a $60 discount for an annual total of $420.

Before your child can attend preschool, we will need a copy of:

1. Child's birth certificate
2. Current immunization record 

Our school year begins in late September and ends in early May. Specific dates will be given at the time of registration.

We follow the same calendar as Gwinnett County Public Schools, including Thanksgiving and Spring Breaks. Winter break dates will be given at the time of registration. 

The Preschool will be closed on all scheduled Digital Learning Days. There will not be Digital Learning Activities for your child.

The Preschool will be closed when Gwinnett County Public Schools are closed because of hazardous weather. Any closing for inclement weather will be announced on radio and television.
